At Cave Tabareau in Croix-Rousse, we begin with a guided tasting of Rhône Valley wines, accompanied by boards of Lyon charcuterie and cheese. Then everyone heads to the wine shop's court for a game of pétanque, played in the true spirit of a tournament.

Practical information
The workshop is private, exclusively for your group, and can be hosted in French or English. As the game is played outdoors, it is best enjoyed from spring to early autumn.
Your host
Born in Lyon, I founded The Cellar Guide because I believe wine deserves more than a rushed tasting. After a master's degree in wine in Burgundy, I worked as a sommelier at a renowned restaurant, then headed the wines and spirits department of a major store, before devoting myself to sharing wine and its place at the table. At each of our gatherings, I make sure everyone, from newcomer to keen enthusiast, leaves wanting to learn more.
